Effects of detonation

Pictures show the effects oil ingestion at high rpm, which is common on stock engines with standard pcv plumbing. Oil ingestion lowers the octane rating of your fuel with the onset of detonation. Incorrect fuel, contaminated fuel, defective fuel delivery are also common culprits. For reliability dont skimp on your fuel system, maintenance is as important as the expensive engine components.
